Molveno (mt. 864), rinomata località turistica del Trentino Occidentale, sorge ai piedi delle Dolomiti di Brenta e del massiccio della Paganella, sulle rive dell'omonimo lago. Il territorio su cui si estende è in gran parte compreso nel Parco Naturale Adamello-Brenta.
